Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson has produced more than 20,000 works, including cloth paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, book illustrations and quilts. She is a 2004 recipient of the prestigious MacArthur award and the Aminah Robinson Center has been established at the Columbus Museum of art. Aminah has been an inspiration to individuals across the globe and now that universe will exponentially grow.
The Columbus Museum of Art and GRIP Technology launched AminahsWorld.org at a special event honoring the artist. The site was designed to relect Aminah's personality and features Aminah's works of art and many revolutionary technical features to create the best experience for all visitors. GRIP created a unique horizontal timeline to depict Aminah's tremendous experiences as well as unique tools to view her art and journals. And to top it all off, GRIP developed an interactive tool for visitors to create their own artwork from materials that Aminah uses every day.

My work is about people, historical data, traditions, lost communities. For me, there is no distinction between life and art. The button work is the core. It is important because of long traditions in my family, especially from my mother. These traditions are still being passed on today, not only through me but through the younger generation. It takes time to produce work. It takes everything you have because it takes your life to leave something for those who are coming after.
