The Objective

The Columbus Museum of Art houses an outstanding collection of late 19th and early 20th century American and European art. The Museum also has recently launched a comprehensive capital campaign to build a stronger endowment that will help revitalize the its building and grounds, creating spectacular space to welcome the world's best collections and exhibitions and to foster education and interaction. To entice visitors and contributors to understand all of the treasures and programs the Museum has to offer, it needed to develop a comprehensive and visually stimulating Web site.

The Solution

GRIP Technology worked with the Museum to create a multifaceted Web site, allowing them to better communicate with members and the potential visitors, manage and change site content internally, incorporate an online reservation system for the first time and build awareness of Art Matters - the capital campaign.

The Results

Since GRIP Technology began working with the Museum early this century, the increase in the Columbus Museum of Arts attendance has been earth shattering. The Museum has set records in attendance for its annual exhibitions featuring work from Renoir, Degas and Monet based on the online ticketing functionality created by GRIP Technology. In fact, the record-setting attendance for Renoir's Women was generated by visitors from 23 states who reserved online tickets to guarantee access to the exhibit.

GRIP Technology's work also helped to set new records for memberships and donations.
