The Objective

The Ohio State University's College of Social and Behavioral Sciences was seeking a Web site that illustrated the depth of the College’s complete curriculum offering and served as the umbrella for the entire college. The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences is Ohio State's largest college and combines eight separate departments, hundreds of career directions and has many nationally ranked programs. As a component of this project, the Department of Anthropology also was seeking to update its Web site and bring to life the experiences the department affords its students.

The Solution

GRIP designed and developed a well organized and easy to navigate Web site for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences that visually highlighted each of the College's outstanding departments. Each department has a special section on the site to establish a consistent look and feel. These special sections provide background for each department and the benefits and advantages of their curriculum.

GRIP also worked with the Department of Anthropology to create a site that was visually appealing and brought to life the real-world experiences available to its students.

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences continues to work with GRIP to develop custom event registration applications, maintain the site and create/distribute HTML e-mails to alumni and other target audiences.

The Results

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences is extremely pleased with the relationship. The site has been very well received by students, alumni and staff, and the College continues to receive positive comments. In fact, many of the College's departments are planning updates to their specific sites in the near future through partnerships with GRIP.
